Institutional Capacity

Lanjari Development Foundation (LDF) has sustainable funding from Sindh Education Foundation (SEF) and other partners. Its account is annually audited and approved by Board of Directors (BoD). LDF has 25 core staff members and it manages 30 million rupees yearly. The financial decision and procurement are taken through the guidance of approved policy.

LDF is running & implement following projects, the detail is as follows:

1. Foundation Assisted Schools

Promoting Private Schools in Rural Sindh (Five Schools)
2016 to Continue Sindh Education Foundation Sindh (SEF) Government of Sindh 24 Million Per Year Through FAS-PPRS project, LDF has constructed seven schools in District Ghotki for out of school children’s, every school is consisting on 10 to 20 class rooms with corridors also toilets and boundary walls. LDF is currently providing free and quality education in the seven schools of district Ghotki with the financial support of of SEF & GoS. These schools are in villages Sono Pittafi, Azmat Bharo, Jamal Din Mahar & Khanpur Mahar, Mangan Dari, Jalal Din Mahar, Gul Hassan Malik about 3450 students of rural areas are getting free & quality education in these schools, and 155 teaching & non teaching staff are working in these schools.
2 Foundation Assisted Schools

Existing Support School Program (ESSP) (Two School)
2017 to continue Sindh Education Foundation Sindh (SEF) Government of Sindh 5 Million per year Through FAS-ESSP project, LDF has constructed two schools in District Ghotki for out of school children’s, every school is consisting on 10 to 20 class rooms with corridors also toilets and boundary walls. LDF is providing free and quality education in two schools of Village Dargahi Arbani & Village Khangharh of Taluka Khangharh district Ghotki with the support of SEF & GoS, in these school 1120 students of rural areas are getting free & quality education in this school, and 45 teaching & non teaching staff are working in these schools.
3 Adolescent and Adult Learning and Training Program (AALTP) July,01- 2024 to continue Sindh Education Foundation Sindh (SEF) Government of Sindh 3 Million Per year LDF has established a center for Non-Formal Education in Village Khanpur Mahar, through this project more than 200 dropout students, child labour, street child are getting free and quality education as per the syllabus of Sindh Government. This project is started in this year. Through this project LDF will be construct separate school for these students in same village.
4 Strengthening Local Civil Society and Community-based Organizations and their Capacity in the Nutrition Sector in Sindh (SIGN) 1st September 2024 to 15th May 2025 International Rescue Committee,

European Union (EU)
7 Million LDF has signed the agreement with International Rescue Committee on Nutrition Project in Union Council Lohi & Mithri of Taluka Khangharh District Ghotki. This initiative aims to address the root causes of malnutrition by mobilizing communities, raising awareness, screening and fostering proactive advocacy for improved nutrition outcomes.
5 Strengthening Local Civil Society and Community-based Organizations and their Capacity in the Nutrition Sector in Sindh (SIGN) 29th, February 2024 to 31st July 2025 Strengthening Participatory Organization (SPO) - LDF has signed the agreement with SPO on Capacity Building, through this project SPO has trained to the LDF Senior Management Team, Champions of the LDF, Staff of the LDF and Board of Directors on different tools, Financial Management, Good Governance, Accountability & Transparency, Program & Projects implementation, Writing Proposals & Budgeting, Action Plan, Work Plan and specially on Nutrition component.

LDF has carried different programs and projects with the target communities, the detail is as follows:

2 Family Planning & Health Care Center 1999 NATPOW Rs: 490,000/- PKR Established Family Planning & Health Care Center in Village Lakho Lanjari, which is providing health care facility to 450 villagers
3 Human Rights Monitoring & Advocacy Program 2002-2003 DCHD Rs: 10000/- PKR Two educated Villagers were imparted training on Human Rights and they gave awareness to 3 village committees (Which were based on ten members).

A campaign was initiated in five villages and five schools about child rights, especially on Violence against children.
4 Village Sanitation Project 2006 SPO & PPAF Rs: 750,000/- PKR Sewerage facility has been provided to 300 people. And improved health and sanitation conditions of entire village based on population of 300.
5 Lift Irrigation 2006 SPO & PPAF Rs: 20,00,000/- PKR Fourteen Tube wells installed in fourteen villages in UC Adilpur. One tube well was provided to 30 farmers. One tube well provided water to 130 acres.
6 Flour & Becho Machines: Income Generating Scheme 2006-2007 SPO Rs: 200,000/- PKR A Becho Peter Engine and Pump has been provided to poor people that benefited 300 people. Through this project they got benefit of flour dough.
7 Lift Irrigation & Micro Credit 2007 Khushhali Bank Rs: 150,000/- PKR Forty Farmers were given one Tube well for their irrigation purpose for the land of 130 acres.
8 Micro Credit & Lift Irrigation 2007 SRSO Rs: 150,000/- PKR Thirty Farmers were provided one Tube well for providing water to 120 acres land.
9 (BBSHRRDB) (Duration February to June 2022) in Khanpur Mahar February 2022 May 2022 &

LDF Ghotki has been implementing BBSHRRDB Project in Khanpur Mahar through SAAD Institute of IT Khangharh Campus under this project LDF trained to 30 students in trade of CIT and trained to 30 females students in trade of Tailoring.
