Governance Structure

The General Body holds the legal ownership of the organization and is responsible for providing direction on LDF's programs, governance, and legal matters. It consists of 10 members who volunteer their time and expertise. These members come from various professions linked to social development, and are chosen thoughtfully to maintain gender balance and ensure equal representation.

The Board of Directors is the governing and policymaking body of the organization. As the governing body, the BoD is ultimately responsible and accountable for the programme direction, financial and strategic management of the organization. The Board approves strategies and operational plans, and directs the institutional and organizational development of LDF. The Board consists of 7 members who remain in office for a period of five years. The 7 Members become Directors of the Board through elections from the General Body whilst the 7th Member, who is the CE, is appointed by the Board. The LDF Board has been constituted in such a manner so as to ensure a balance in its membership both in terms of gender and representation. The Board also elects a chairman and a General Secretary for the same term.
