The Lanjari Development Foundation (LDF) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) governed by a Board of Directors (BoD), also known as the Executive Committee. The BoD is composed of seven professionals from diverse fields, including three women, reflecting the organization’s commitment to gender inclusivity and diversity.
The BoD meets quarterly to review the progress of ongoing programs, provide strategic direction, approve financial audits and annual progress reports, and offer recommendations for future initiatives. As part of its responsibilities, the BoD appoints a Chief Executive to oversee the day-to-day management of the organization.
The Chief Executive acts as the official representative of the Board, handling all organizational matters, including funding, program management, and audits. The Chief Executive also reports directly to the BoD, ensuring accountability and alignment with the organization's strategic goals.
The most recent Board election was held on December 30, 2022. The elected Board members will serve a five-year term, providing stable leadership and governance until December 2027.
Mr. Imtiaz Channa is the Founder and Chairman of Lanjari Development Foundation LDF for the tenure 2023-2027 is a Social Worker. He has done masters in sociology from Sindh University Jamshoro. Mr. Imtiaz Ahmed has 28 years extensive experience of field, management, monitoring and evaluation, finance management, in the development field. Currently he is providing voluntarily services as chairman of Lanjari Development Foundation LDF.
Mr. Qurban Ali General Secretary- Chief Executive of the Lanjari Development Foundation LDF for the tenure 2023-2027, his qualification is Masters in Economics. Mr. Qurban Ali is a professional development practitioner currently working with Lanjari Development Foundation LDF. He has 14 years extensive experience of field, management, monitoring and evaluation, research in the development field. He started his work as Admin & Finance Officer in national & international organization. Mr. Qurban Ali has working experience with PDI, GSF, KDA, SEWA, VDO, under TAF, USAID, CRS, British Council, SAP, KNH, ENI, FAO, CARE Int: SEF, GoS funded Projects field level, mid-level and management positions. He joined as Chief Executive of a local Ghotki based organization Lanjari Development Foundation LDF in 2012 and continues till now. Besides a senior level development experience he is an active Human and women rights activist in north Sindh, his voluntary services are affiliated with many national and local organizations and government department.
Ms. Kaneez Ruquaia – Treasurer of Lanjari Development Foundation LDF for the tenure 2023-2027, she holds a Master’s degree from Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU), Khairpur, with a specialization in English, her academic foundation equips her with strong analytical and organizational skills that contribute to effective financial oversight and planning for LDF. Ms. Ruquaia dedication to the development sector extends beyond her role at LDF. She has working with different organization, currently she is Treasurer of LDF.
Ms. Rubeena Mahar BOD-Member of Lanjari Development Foundation LDF for the tenure 2023-2027, she has extensive 15 years of working experience in the education sector she has worked with various NGOs and Educational institutions as an education coordinator. Her significant experience in the field of education, often with a distinguished career in teaching, educational administration, and leadership. She also conducted many trainings on education she is an experienced and highly skilled professional who plays a key role in designing, delivering, and overseeing training programs. She holds a master’s degree in Social Science and Education.
Ms. Saira Shahid BOD-Member of Lanjari Development Foundation LDF for the tenure 2023-2027, she has extensive 14 years of working experience in the education sector, she has worked with various organization and educational institutions. Currently she is providing voluntarily services as Manager HR to Lanjari Development Foundation in various projects / programs of the LDF, She holds a master’s degree in Islamiat from Punjab University.
Mr. Ghulam Murtaza BOD-Member of Lanjari Development Foundation LDF for the tenure 2023-2027, he has done BBA from Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur, he has 7 years of working experience in the Finance & HR sector. He is providing voluntarily services as Finance Assistant to Lanjari Development Foundation in various projects / programs of the LDF.
Mr. Mashooque Ali BOD-Member of Lanjari Development Foundation LDF for the tenure 2023-2027, he has done Master from SALU Khairpur, He has extensive experience in the development sector at the grass-roots level through his laudable work at other reputed organizations and started his career with local NOG in 2011 as a Field Officer and served for 14 years in various capacities.
At LDF he develops high-quality organizational strategies and plans ensuring their alignment with short-term and long-term objectives, leading and motivating subordinates to advance employee engagement, and developing a high-performing managerial team.
